Dair version of the Japanese origami/box face mask
Picture
NOTE: Cloth face coverings are NOT surgical masks or N95 respirators. Face mask use is not intended to replace other recommended measures to stop the community spread of COVID-19, such as social distancing, washing your hands and refraining from touching your face.  Follow the latest advice of the CDC and your own health care professionals as to the best way to keep yourself safe.

I did not design this pattern - it is based on a Japanese style of mask gaining popularity. After looking at several patterns online which you can search and find for yourself, I made adjustments to some of the angles and sides to make sewing easier and fit more varieties of faces. For most people the bonus of this mask shape allows for less touching of the nostrils and mouth and is more comfortable for people who have anxiety in mask wearing. Hopefully you’ll find it comfortable as well.

Download the pattern and instructions and have fun making them!
